He is the highest professionally qualified Master Photographer in the East Midlands and his credentials are exemplary: Fellow of the Master Photographers Association, Fellow of the British Institute of Professional Photography and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
He is the author of Contemporary Wedding Photography (pb David & Charles, 2007). Widely acclaimed and translated into five languages, the second edition of his book is still selling strongly.
In 2015, Steve was honoured to be invited to join a team of eminent BIPP photographers across numerous photographic disciplines to represent the UK in the World Photographic Cup.
Steve Walton was made National President of the Master Photographers Association in 2015-2016, this is the pinnacle of his career to date. He is Chairman of the East Midlands Region of MPA, he serves on the Board of Directors of MPA as Director of Accreditation and is a frequent speaker at trade shows and major industry events.
Steve is an internationally-ranked Awards and Qualifications judge for both MPA and BIPP and a mentor and advisor to newcomers and established professional photographers alike.
He is well-known as a landscape photographer, three-times recipient of the MPA/BIPP UK Landscape & Travel Photographer of the Year at the joint British Professional Photographic Awards. When not photographing weddings, Steve is the tutor and tour leader within the other branch of his photography business, Wild Light Photography Tours & Workshops. He specialises in leading groups of photographers of all abilities to inspiring destinations.
These are Steve’s professional credentials. In a world where claims of ‘award-winning’ and ‘passionate’ are so often diluted, it is rare to see such consistently high standards of personal achievement and continued professional development.
Steve Walton believes your wedding photographer should be a dedicated, qualified Master Photographer.
You deserve nothing less!
