Shearsby Bath is one of the busiest wedding venues in Leicestershire and it’s easy to see why. Set in pleasant landscaped gardens in the gently undulating countryside of rural South Leicestershire, Shearsby Bath is lovely venue. I enjoy a good relationship with Rocky, Gary, Alice & Beth as a referred wedding photographer and I have photographed many weddings there. As a measure of the esteem in which I hold the staff and the venue itself, my eldest son and his then Finacee chose Shearsby Bath held their own wedding there on my recommendation four years ago. If this venue is on your short list, I can say from personal experience that you and your guests would be in very good hands at Shearsby Bath!
Shanie and Jamie-Lee chose Package Two from Shearsby Bath’s wedding options. Package Two represents excellent value and simplifies the process for couples who are planning their to hold their wedding celebration there. I am the referred photographer in the Package Two deal and this option has been very popular for several years.
As is usual, I arrived at Jamie-Lee’s parents home a couple of hours before the ceremony. There was a great deal of excitement as Jamie-Lee and her young bridesmaids, Natalie, Sienna and Ava were getting ready. It was perfect for informal documentary and detail photography and when everyone was dressed, there were family group photographs before I had to leave to meet Shanie and best man Jamie at Shearsby Bath.
It was a beautiful day, warm and sunny and the guests made full use of the fine weather and lovely gardens. Jamie-Lee arrived with her entourage in a pair of aristocratic classic Vanden Plas Princess cars and the excitement between the girls had not stopped!
The marriage ceremony was a very intimate one and forty-five minutes later, the newlyweds were greeting their guests and enjoying their drinks reception in the warm sun outside. A lot of informal photography as requested, followed by the family groups, bridal party and photographs of Shanie & Jamie-Lee around the venue. The final photographs before the Wedding Breakfast were a group photograph of everyone followed immediately by confetti throwing. As the guests made their way to be seated in the marquee, I took Shanie & Jamie-Lee into the bar area for some romantic window-light photographs. It only took 5-10 minutes to do this before the couple made their grand entrance into the marquee to the applause of their guests.
Following the wedding breakfast and coffee, the speeches took place. It was an emotional time for Jamie-Lee and her family, but what would a wedding be without a little emotion!
It was a perfect summer wedding for Shanie & Jamie-Lee at Shearsby Bath. I always look forward to returning to this lovely Leicestershire wedding venue!
